The Football Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) at Tanjong Katong Primary School aims to nurture students’ love for the sport while supporting their holistic development. The programme provides a structured and supportive environment where students are encouraged to discover their strengths, develop confidence, and strive towards their personal best.
Through a balanced approach catering to different levels of participation, students develop fundamental football skills, physical fitness, and teamwork. They learn to work collaboratively, build resilience, and grow through shared experiences both on and off the field.
Guided by dedicated coaches and teachers, students are instilled with values such as commitment, perseverance, respect, and camaraderie. The programme seeks to nurture responsible self-leaders and active contributors, shaping students into well-rounded individuals through the game of football.
Objectives
1. Develop Fundamental Football Skills by providing students with structured opportunities to learn and practice football techniques such as dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting, laying a strong foundation for confident participation in the sport.
2. Promote Teamwork, Discipline, and Sportsmanship through fostering positive character development by encouraging students to work collaboratively, follow rules, respect opponents, and display resilience and integrity both on and off the field.

Nurture Passion and Identify Potential through cultivating students’ interest in football by creating an enjoyable and motivating environment, while also identifying and guiding those with talent towards school representation and higher levels of play.
